Competitive Skills will train in Pyle on Saturdays if the Performance Squad is training in Ynysawdre.

This is liable to change at short notice. Please keep an eye on the noticeboard at Ynysawdre for last minute alterations.

Competitive Skills  is a squad where swimmers aged between 9 and 14 train and develop their stroke skills that will allow them to contend and progress into the Performance Squad. Each swimmer is expected to commit to a higher number of training sessions and to follow the Competition Calendar for this squad.

The Comp Skills group train at the 4 pools within the Borough of Bridgend. Many of the swimmers in this squad have been very successful in Regional and National Swimming Competitions with some becoming Welsh Champion in their respective age groups.

Each swimmer must meet a set criteria and achieve set times to enter and remain in the Competitive Skills Squad.

Training sessions at Ynysawdre pool...the club have been requested to remind all swimmers across all squads that changing bags and kit bags should not be left in the changing cubicles or alongside the training pool during their session as it is causing a hazard for those using the small pool.

Please either use the lockers within the changing area or bags should be stored neatly in the alcoves in front of the seating area adjacent to the main pool.
